Welcome to the 60's!

Well, my mother has gracefully entered her 60's! My father thought a surprise party was in order, and we celebrated by taking a riverboat dinner cruise down by Bricktown on the Oklahoma River. Then we headed back to my sister's house for dessert.

Inside the boat!

Brett patiently waiting where the boat was docked.

The crowd gathering before Mom arrived.

Brett with his cousin Averi.

Gabi and her ever-present red glitter shoes.

Hanging out....

On the boat now. Robin with her kiddos!

Doug and Daneen (my dad and Daneen are cousins) drove all the way up from Ardmore.

Aunt Cathy and Aunt Carol (and Uncle Karl who is not pictured) drove all the way from Indiana to suprise mom. They are mom's two sisters. So sweet!

Mom's fun teacher bestie, Martha, and her hubby!

The Coles and Heineckes are good friends from Mom's card group.

More teacher buddies.

Forever friends....The Bates and the Halls!

Yours truly and her hunky hubby.

Doug and Brian with a growth on his back named Abi! (Notice my boys are not pictured....Jeff and I uninvited them - we were afraid they would either jump off the boat or break it somehow).

Here comes the unsuspecting birthday girl!

Getting warmer....but she still has no clue.

Something is starting to dawn on her. (Funny - my dad told her that there was a new casino boat down in Bricktown. She totally bought it....who knew I would have a gambler for a mother??)

SURPRISE!!!!

She was definitely shocked! I think the rest of us were shocked by Dad's choice of sunglasses (are you trying to look 90, dad?)!

Hugging a sis that she could not believe was there.

With some of her favorite little people.

And now with the little people she created many moons ago that are now big people creating those other little people that she loves so much! Did you follow that?

Back at Mo's for some scrumptious dessert!

Yep, dad insisted on lighting 60 candles, and we were fortunate not to burn the house down.

Take a BIG breath, Mom.

Almost done (10 minutes later....)! She only passed out for a little bit.

Mom and Jeff had a big job. (Am I the annoying third child or what?)

Dig in!

Opening some cards and presents.

Jeff must have said something funny. Love that guy.
