Baby, It's Hot Outside

Disclaimer:  These pictures are in the opposite order of how they happened.  Blogger usually reverses the order in which you upload your pictures.  Not this time.  And there are too many for me to want to start over.

Our dear, dear friends, Sam and Angela had their first baby, Landen.  We were thrilled to finally meet this handsome little man!

Snoozing so sweetly.

Even Jeff held him.....that is something, folks!

We had my parents and sister's family over for dinner and cake to celebrate my dad's birthday this year.

Since the Olympics were on, we decided to have our own Family Olympics!  Here they are at the medal ceremony.

And again....

Told you these were backwards....here they are at the end of one of the competitions - a race around the house.  These were the last faces we saw.

And the winner is.....Ali!

And they're off!

On your mark....get set......GO!

The littleys playing on the hammock together.

Our blue-eyed muscle man!

Here is our consequence for saying potty words.  Bummer, Isaac.

Jack playing the photographer.

Chilling out with his trusty hand.

Here is Jack all ready to go to karate.  He is actually a yellow belt now and proud of it!

We had a swim date with our childhood friends and their kids.  Molly and I lived in the same neighborhood as Stacy, Emily and Natalie for the first 8 years of my life.  It was a blast getting together!

Jack and Abi have asked if they can get married.  Sorry, kids.  This isn't Arkansas.  :)

Stacy with her gang of boys.

Sometimes they really do like each other.

Our wonderful friends from Texas, the Linigers, came up for a weekend visit.  It was loud and chaotic, but SO MUCH FUN!!!!  We hope they come back soon!

All the kiddos.  Brynlee is on her own in the girl department.

Book time!

The three amigos.  They rarely match, so of course I had to get a pic!

This was Jeff's surprise for Father's Day.  My boys have THE best daddy in the whole world.  Really, they do.

Isaac and his mini-me.

My amazing hubby gave me the BEST suprise one weekend.  He told me he was taking me out to breakfast at Panera on Saturday morning.  When we got there, our best friends, Sam and Angela were waiting to eat with us.  Aaaaah!!!  Then he let Ang and me go shop until that evening when we were told to dress up.  I walked outside to go to the car to go to dinner, and what did I see (eventually....)???  A limo was waiting on our curb to take us to Boulevard Steakhouse and then to Bricktown and finally to Cuppies and Joe.  Wow!

Our buds.

Notice in the picture below that we started out in a normal limo.  On our way to Bricktown, it overheated and they had to get a new vehicle for us.  They felt bad, so this is what we got to ride in the rest of the time.  Hello!!  It was huge for the four of us, but so awesome.  We got home in time to wake the kiddos up and let them take a spin in it, too.

These are our sweet friends that used to live across the street from us.  All our boys always had such a great time with each other.  Matt got a new job in Fort Worth, so now our two families have flip-flopped cities.

Max Man

This summer we spent loads of time on our slip-n-slide!

Skinny minny is always losing his britches.

Snack time!

Brandon and Rylan would come play with us in the slip-n-slide and inflatable pool a lot, too!

Jack is always helping me with Max.  He has such a soft spot for his baby brother.

Feeding him is his favorite.

You know that baby I mentioned at the very beginning of this post?  Well, Jeff gave me a hall pass to go to Texas to help host Angela's church baby shower.  I loved getting to see her and all these other precious girlies.
