2!

I'm 2!!!

Our family tradition is to wake the birthday boy up by the rest of the family singing "Happy Birthday To You", and then he gets to pick one present to open that morning.

Then we make a special dinner and treat, open presents, and everyone goes around in a circle and tells the birthday boy why he is special to them.

Isaac checking out a birthday card.

Who needs presents? I've got toes!!!

Easton's main birthday gift was a sandbox. Here he is playing in it for the first time!

Jack reaped the benefits of Easton's gift, too.

Party time for the 2 year-old! We went with a water theme and did an easy, kid-friendly lunch of hotdogs!

Cake and party favors.

Playing with daddy before the party started! (aka daddy keeping the boys out of mommy's hair while she set up.)

Susan and Maddie.

Maddie is one of the lone little girls out of all my Texas friends. All the boys are going to be competing for this doll before long!

Jack and Benjamin.

Chandler and Ben.

Jack hanging out with the girls, Maddie and Jacey.

Easton opening up his loot!

Had to get a pic of the cheek that escaped. I have no idea what he did to his swim diaper. I do know that he had a blow out in his swimsuit prior to this pic.

Our chill little dude just hanging out and watching the chaos.

My cousin's little boy, Jay.

We planned a "game" for the kiddos. What kind of game can you play with 1 and 2 year-olds, you ask? Take a water balloon from one pail and carry it and put it in another pail. Hey, it kept them entertained!

Jennifer and Taylor on the splash pad.

Watergun fight!

Jack and Benjamin chasing Benjamin's daddy!

Isaac did not like the splash pad too much.

If you look very closely at this picture, you will see two boys who were both too eager to eat cake. Jack is about to take a chunk of icing off the top (which he got in trouble for right after this pic was taken...it was not the first time it had happened with him ) and if you look very close at Easton's right hand, you will notice that he has guilty fingers covered in icing, too. At least it was at our party and not someone else's, right?

Mmmm....
We love our big 'ol 2 year-old and can't believe we are already at this milestone. Easton is such a warm and loveable guy with a semi-barbaric side to him. He is very loud, loves to jump, swim, follow Jack and eat. He is still our teddy bear and gives the best hugs in the world. We are soooo thankful for him and all he adds to our family.
